I prefer my clients to just charge the battery as soon as they get home, using a battery at a low state of charge tends to be more damaging, if I try to explain the correct way to take care of the battery they will likely misunderstand it and do it wrong in a detrimental way. I modify their chargers to the minimum voltage at which the balancer kicks in, typically 4.17v, so I can sleep at night. The second life cells battery bank at my home solar installation has a BMS completely designed and built by me so I have full control over it's programming and can remotely monitor it, I put the balance starting voltage at 4.0v and I use 4.05v charging voltage, so far 3 years of daily cycling and I don't notice degradation.

I am very happy you mentioned the fact that all of that charging area could fit only a couple of cars. I wonder how much wH capacity it takes in comparison to a similar charging station for an equivalent amount of cars.

Faster than some at 16mph still 20 would be Nice. Range is horrible and needs to have a truck bed style back extra length available hanging off the back a bit to carry stuff like groceries, beach stuff and most important coolers, tackle boxes rods and such

Question here - I've got hydraulic disc brakes, and my front brake lever is starting to engage closer to the handlebars. How do I fix this? I am thinking that maybe it needs more mineral oil, but not sure.

It's a nice bike, but I have to wonder about the challenges of ownership. How do you secure it against theft and keep people from stealing the battery or wheels. In our city there are people so low class that they steal electric wheelchairs, so they would certainly take an interest in that. Because your bike can haul passengers, does that require you to have accident and injury insurance? Is it allowed on bike trails?

Let’s be honest. This is a glorified golf cart, but it definitely has its uses on a ranch like your dad uses it for. For how cheap it is, the construction seems adequate. I definitely would put on some better welds for some peace of mind. I actually would show this to my grandfather who has polio and uses a golf cart to run around on 80 acres.

Im looking for an ebike with an eclosed cabin that can work in snow, with air conditioning and heating, and if i can still pedal like a nornal bike thatd be nice too. The enclosed cabin would work with the battery safety as it would keep the battery safe while riding in winter.

I'm a disabled veteran and I've been looking for a way to get back and forth to the VA for my treatments, but this would also help me do some of my own shopping. Awesome find to know these exsist
